Dr. Liz knew she wanted to pursue something involved in helping people live a healthier lifestyle. When she thought she was moving to Iowa to take a few classes to prepare for the Dietetics program at Eastern Michigan University, she ended up staying in Iowa with boyfriend at the time, James Phillip, to become a chiropractor. She was intrigued with what he was learning about health and the human body and knew she wanted to take the same career path.

She started the chiropractic program in March of 2010 at the fountainhead of chiropractic, Palmer College in Davenport Iowa. After graduating in 2013, she has continued to pursue her studies in pregnancy and pediatrics. She has completed and is a member of the pediatric training program, Epic Pediatrics (through top Pediatric Chiropractor Dr. Tony Ebel and Dr. David Jackson) and has also studied pediatric adjusting techniques through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).

Pregnancy & Chiropractic

Dr. Liz always knew how beneficial chiropractic care was to the expecting mom, but after becoming pregnant herself, she realized how crucial it was to be under chiropractic care during pregnancy. From the aches and pains a growing baby has on mom's body, to the importance of a proper functioning pelvis for a well positioned baby and a safe and natural delivery, chiropractic is so essential in the world of pregnancy and birth. Having a home birth herself, Dr. Liz wanted to do all she could to minimize the main reason most mom's undergo cesarean section; dystocia. With proper exercise, good nutrition and chiropractic care... Dr. Liz had a very healthy pregnancy and was able to go into labor unassisted and have the birth she had always dreamed of.

Why Pediatrics?

Dr. Liz was always interested in pediatrics and has spent many hours in post-graduate study focusing on taking care of children. She has completed her 200 hour certification from the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association (ICPA).

Issues like in-utero constraint, birth trauma, toxin exposure, etc, puts so much stress on kids right from their first moments of life. Since these issues are neurological in nature, a chiropractor is the only doctor who knows how to correct them. After truly understanding this concept, Dr. Liz knew she wanted to focus on children and expecting mothers. She still see’s moms, dads and whole families as well.
